Dental health starts at home by brushing and flossing your teeth daily, then continues at Hebert Family Dentistry with your routine visit and checkup.
Patient and painless care of your teeth is our highest priority to help avoid discomfort.
Maintaining a healthy routine of visiting our practice twice a year helps to ensure you and your family’s dental health are met and attended to quickly and early if a problem were to arise.
It is important that your visit and checkup is methodically done each time, from brushing and flossing your teeth to examining each tooth, your gums, tongue, lips, and sometimes throat.
Inspecting every area of your mouth as a standard level of care is what you can expect each time while visiting with the hygienist and Dr. Ryan Hebert.
During your routine checkup, another important aspect of your visit is to screen for oral cancer. It is vital that we take this proactive measure to assess your oral health to rule out or identify signs of oral cancer.
Dr. Hebert will inspect your mouth for any abnormalities and follow up with shining a light or asking you to rinse with a special identifying dye.
If abnormal tissue is revealed you may be asked to return for a follow up appointment or referred to a specialist to retrieve a biopsy of the area in question.
